Retro Witch

Grimheven - The Promised Land

Version 0.5.7 is a very important step in the development of Retro Witch. Here, for the first time, the essence of the game itself has been defined—Retro Witch is not just about fighting beasts. The first version of the building system has been implemented, and the game has received a new location called Grimhaven. In this version, we can get there via the fast travel shrine. Grimhaven is a place without monsters from Grimthar; instead, the player can build their own space in the game—whether it's a castle, a house, or an entire village. In this version, we have a ready-made map and a system that can be launched in two modes: flight or building from the player's perspective. Several building elements have also been added, such as:
*Trees, Stones
*Two types of foundations
*Stairs
*Wooden walls
Torches that provide a light source It's also worth mentioning that building resources don't come from nowhere—constructing each element has a resource cost. In this version, the simplest way to obtain them is by chopping down trees or removing stones. This allows you to replenish rock or wood values, so the collected resource points can be used to build individual elements.
TIP: In building mode, by selecting any element on the map and clicking the left mouse button, it highlights in yellow. Then, using the menu that appears on the right side after selecting the element, you can edit individual elements. By pressing the red X, you delete it, and the corresponding resource value is added back to that resource, which you can use for further building.

Try and test the new system in today's update. Of course, the building system will be improved and developed along with the entire Retro Witch. It's also important to note that the building system is optional by design, meaning you don't have to use it while playing Retro Witch if that style of gameplay doesn't appeal to you. However, if you want to try developing your own piece of the world in Retro Witch, I hope this system's implementation and its upgrades will give players a lot of fun with building.

See you in Grimhaven!
